Push Notifications
An ExpiWell app notification on a lock screen

As soon as a survey window opens, participants will receive a push notification informing them of which experience is available and how long until the window closes. The participants will be notified when the survey window is about to close, if they have not completed the experience before that time. Please ensure that notifications from ExpiWell are enabled on every device.

Note: The project creator can alter notification preferences by clicking the "Options" button in the scheduling section.

View your notifications inbox from any screen by clicking the bell icon in the top, right corner of the page. If there is a dot on the bell that means there is a notification that needs to be read.

If the "Newest" tab is shown, it will organize the notifications with the newest messages being at the top. By clicking on that tab, it will switch to "Unread," and the unread notifications will appear at the top.

The Push Notifications feature in ExpiWell is a critical tool for enhancing participant engagement and ensuring timely responses in research experiences. These notifications are not mere reminders but personalized prompts that keep participants informed and actively involved. When a survey window opens, participants receive an immediate warning, making them aware of available experiences and the time frame for participation.

This proactive approach is invaluable in maintaining high response rates and ensuring that participants have ample opportunity to contribute. Additionally, the final reminders before survey windows close play a crucial role in boosting completion rates, especially for participants who may have missed the initial notification.

The ability to manage and customize these notifications gives project creators the flexibility to tailor their communication strategy, aligning with their study's specific needs and dynamics. This feature is instrumental in creating a responsive and engaged research community where every participant is kept in the loop and every response is valued. Push Notifications in ExpiWell are more than just alerts; they are the cornerstone of a vibrant, interactive, and productive research environment.
