ExpiWell: Pausing other schedule surveys when triggering new survey

Survey Pause when Adding New Survey Window

Learn About Survey Pause Feature

When you create multiple event-triggered surveys, you may be concerned about participant burden in taking too many surveys. One feature in Event-Trigger is "Survey Pause". This enables you to stop other scheduled surveys that overlap with the event-triggered survey window.

Example Scenario 1
  1. You may have already scheduled two daily surveys that occur everyday:
    1. Daily Survey 1 (9-11am); Daily Survey 2 (1-3pm)
  2. You create an Event-Triggered Survey window scheduled from 10am to 2pm
  3. Without the "survey pause", a participant will take 3 surveys for the day (Daily Survey 1; Daily Survey 2; Event-Triggered Survey) (see screenshot below)
  4. Toggling the "survey pause," the participant will only take the Event-Triggered Survey because the time window overlaps with both Daily Survey 1 and Daily Survey 2.

Example Scenario 2
  1. You may have already scheduled two daily surveys that occur everyday:
    1. Daily Survey 1 (9-11am); Daily Survey 2 (1-3pm)
  2. You create an Event-Triggered Survey window that opens 1 minute to 200 minutes after the event
  3. Without the "survey pause", a participant will take 3 surveys for the day (Daily Survey 1; Daily Survey 2; Event-Triggered Survey) (see screenshot below)
  4. Toggling the "survey pause," if the Event-Triggered Survey time window overlaps at all with any of the daily surveys, they will not take either or both the surveys.

When "survey pause" is turned on, participants do not receive any scheduled surveys whose survey windows overlap with the event-triggered survey window.
